‘John Collinge is a retired lawyer who has had a distinguished record of public service. He practices as a Consultant – particularly in Legal Services, Government and Policy, Corporate Governance and Mediation.

He has practised law both in New Zealand and Australia; he has Lectured in Law in Universities in England and Australia; he is the author of legal texts particularly in Commercial Law and has many published articles in legal journals; he was Senior Scholar in Law at Auckland University and Shell Scholar at Oxford University; he has held many prominent public positions including as Chairman of the Commerce Commission of New Zealand, President of the NZ National Party and High Commissioner for New Zealand to the United Kingdom.
